From the Middle East to Paradise …

Two weeks after arriving home from an undisclosed location in the Middle East, I’m off again. And this trip couldn’t be any more yang to Bikes Over Baghdad’s yin. I’m flying to Bora Bora, Tahiti, to participate in the Bora Bora Liquid Festival and write about my experience for ESPNW.com. I seriously can not wait. The fun starts Monday, December 3.

Britt, Allison and me getting in some training time before I head to Tahiti to test my skills against the best in the world. (One day of training should be sufficient prep.)

From there, I’m off to the North Shore of Oahu for Pipeline Masters, the ASP’s end-of-year surf contest. This year’s contest is going to be exciting. For the first time in a while, the world title race comes down to Pipeline — and four surfers are still in the hunt, including 11-time World Champ Kelly Slater and second-year Tour surfer John John Florence. Stay tuned for updates from Oahu.

After Hawaii, I’m off to SW Florida for two weeks at home with the family. December is going to be a sunshine extravaganza. When I get back to Santa Monica at the end of the month, I will be soooo ready to snowboard. New Year’s trip, anyone?!

In preview of my trip to Tahiti, I wrote this piece for W. CHECK IT OUT HERE and, if you have the time and desire, come join me. There’s still time!

I’ll be sending back updates each day from Tahiti, so check back next week for more on the event!
