It’s An X Travaganza!

Today, I moved out of my apartment in Los Angeles and into a hotel in Los Angeles. Okay, that’s not exactly as weird as it sounds. For the ninth time, I am covering the summer X Games here in downtown Los Angeles. And for the first time since 2003, the events are taking place entirely at the Staples Center and LA Live. That means no driving, no HOV lane, no LA traffic. And since I live in Santa Monica, that means moving to a hotel within walking distance of the event. So here I am. T-minus two days until the X Games begins, live on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.

For those of you who are going, “What? The X Games is this week? I had no idea!” here’s a list of recommended reading to bring you up to speed.

For the past two months, I have been chronicling Travis Pastrana’s crazy summer in a column we call The Pastranathon. That’s also the name given to what he is attempting to do this weekend. Check out all eight columns HERE. My stalking (I mean, reporting) ends Sunday.

For a complete TV schedule and anything you would possibly want to know about the X Games, check out our coverage at ESPN.com/action HERE. I’ll be writing daily ESPN.com page one features previewing the next day’s biggest event and, as always, keeping 830 or so people informed and entertained on Twitter. Follow along … and let me know what you want to know about the X Games. @ESPN_alyssa

Now, I rest.
