I Want A Dirt Bike!
That’s all I could think about on my two-hour drive home yesterday from Pala Raceway. “I want a bike of my own!” I spend so much time around dirt bikes and the athletes who ride them, but I rarely have the opportunity to hop on and ride one myself. And they are so much fun!
Yesterday, Jolene Van Vugt, the lone woman in the Nitro Circus crew and one of the baddest females I know, invited women in the industry to come down to the DC Training Facility at Pala for lessons and bike time. Next week, she leaves for a media tour in New Zealand to promote the second season of the Nitro Circus tour, which will hit NZ, Australia, Europe and the U.S. in 2011. The crew is also filming a 3-D movie next year–MTV didn’t pick up the show for a third season, so the cast need an outlet for all the cool stunts they dreamed up–and Jolene has her own DC clothing line, which she designed, coming out in the spring. So considering she has so much free time, we all really appreciated her taking a day to spend riding with us media hacks.
Next ride day is in early December and it’s already circled on my calendar in permanent pen.
